TAILINGS MANAGEMENT

Earl International Group Gold Ghana Limited tailings management approach aims to ensure a hazard-free environment in a manner that aligns with best tailings management practices. We have a goal to ensuring zero harm to people within our host communities.

An Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of the project was conducted leading to the submission of an Environmental Impact statement to the Environmental Protection Agency. A Public Forum on the project was held in December 2020.

Since the inception of our mining operations, EIGGGL has worked in collaboration and under the supervision of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and notable tailings management consultants in managing the tons of tailings produced each year.

A Mine Operating Permit was granted by the Chief Inspector of Mines for operations to commence. The Life of Mine for the Gbane Gold Project is fourteen (14) years.

Sustainable Mining

Tailings produced are deposited in engineered tailings storage facilities (TSFs) or dams.

Tailinigs

As we project an increase in metric tons of tailings to be produced in the lifecycle of the Gbane Gold Project, construction will soon begin on a new engineered tailings storage facility expected to cover a land area of 200 acres.

Earl International Group Gold Ghana Limited is focused on creating value through responsible and sustainable mining in Gbane.
